James Brown lived was described as a local living in the vicinity of Berner Street where Elizabeth Stride was murdered on 30th September 1888.
James Brown testified that he had seen Elizabeth Stride leaning against a wall at the corner of Fairclough Street and Berner street talking to a man of average height who was wearing a long overcoat.
