Tony Devereux was a friend of Michael Barrett. They first met in the Saddle Public House in Liverpool. Michael Barrett originally said he received Jack The Ripper's diary from Mr Devereux in late 1991.
Mr Devereux had a hip replacement in March 1991.
In August 1991 Tony Devereux died in Walton Hospital.
